Bundesliga Tips Today – Matchday 23

After a disappointing European Cup week from a German point of view, all betting fans can now fortunately concentrate on the Bundesliga again. And here we have some hot duels coming up.

Wolfsburg – Hoffenheim

On Saturday afternoon, it comes to the duel of the traditionless from Wolfsburg and Hoffenheim (15:30), which is little loved by many. Nevertheless, there is much to be said for taking a look at this match.

While TSG are playing for the Champions League at the top, the Wolves have been successful since the Kruse change. Goals are therefore to be expected in this match, judging by the current form of both teams.

Stuttgart – Bochum

The Bayern defeaters from Bochum will be hoping not to fall victim to the curse of being among the losers on the following matchday after a win against the FCB. After all, VfB Stuttgart, a direct competitor in the relegation battle, is waiting for them and they can almost finally distance themselves from them.

While Stuttgart is second to last in the home table, VfL occupies this position away from home. The main reason for this is the lack of quality in the offensive of both teams.

Augsburg – Freiburg

Augsburg host SC Freiburg on Saturday. The all-time statistics in these games at the WWK Arena are highly interesting. Freiburg have never won in nine games, but have drawn six.

At least at home, the Bavarian Swabians managed to win a few points and score a few goals again in 2021/22. But Freiburg have also been successful in front of the opponent’s box in five of their last six games.

Bielefeld – Union

The afternoon is rounded off by Arminia Bielefeld and Union Berlin on the 23rd Bundesliga matchday. After six unbeaten games, Bielefeld lost again for the first time. Union even failed to score twice against Augsburg and Dortmund.

Nevertheless, there is much to be said for Arminia Bielefeld, who have lost only three games since Matchday 11. And the eight defeats are the fewest from 11th place in the table.

Cologne – Frankfurt

The top match on Saturday evening (18:30) is contested by Cologne and Frankfurt, two teams that are on the road in the safe midfield and are looking more upwards than towards the relegation battle.

Cologne is the seventh best home team, Eintracht is in fourth place away from home, so there is nothing to stop two self-confident teams meeting. In addition, Frankfurt’s away games in particular are usually high-scoring games.

Bayern – Fürth

On Sunday afternoon (15:30), the Bavarian duel between the record champions from Munich and Greuther Fürth gets underway. The FCB currently has its own problems, but now faces the last-placed team in the league table.

Only twice in Bundesliga history has the last-placed team won at the first-placed team – last time in 1996/97. Bayern will instead be doing everything they can to finally get their own offence back into gear.

Dortmund – Gladbach

After Bayern, it’s the turn of supposed pursuers Dortmund (17:30), who now host Gladbach after their European Cup blowout against Rangers. What there is to see there seems to be a big surprise egg.

What is clear is that both defences are not at all good in 2022. BVB conceded seven goals in their last three league games, Gladbach five.

Hertha – Leipzig

The conclusion of the Bundesliga tips on the 23rd matchday of the Bundesliga is made by Hertha BSC and RB Leipzig in the East duel (19:30). Hertha have been disastrous on the road again and have failed to win five times in a row.

At least they managed to score a goal in four of these five games. Leipzig have scored 13 goals in their last five league games and have won every away game at the Olympiastadion with at least three goals of their own.
