FC Empoli have taken out the option to buy Guglielmo Vicario (25) and signed the goalkeeper permanently from Cagliari Calcio for a reported eight million euros – but it seems he will not stay. Vicario has been linked with bigger clubs in Italy for some time after a strong season, in particular Serie A seventh-placed AC Florence.
