The former world footballer Fabio Cannavaro (48) will coach the Italian second division club Benevento Calcio with immediate effect. The 2006 World Cup winner and ex-centre-back has thus found a new club after a break of almost a year. Cannavaro last coached the Chinese top club Guangzhou FC until the end of September 2021. At Serie B club Benevento, he received a contract until summer 2024.
