La Liga, Saturday, 27.05.2023

Everybody is interested in the final of the Champions League as well as the final of the Europa League, in which the Andalusians will also be involved.

In my Sevilla Real Madrid tip, however, this opens up an excellent opportunity in the league to ask the sports betting providers to pay out. After all, FCS will in all likelihood not be able to give too much importance to the upcoming league match.

It’s amazing how a team like Sevilla, who have already made two coaching changes this year and consistently disappoint their fans in the league, have once again managed to fight their way through to the Europa League final.

The clash against Roma will take place just four days after the upcoming league match against Real Madrid and has now become even more important for the Andalusians in the course of the last 48 hours.

Not only due to the fact that the FCS can win this trophy for the 7th time already, but rather because a 1-1 draw on Wednesday against last-place Elche has visibly darkened the LaLiga standings.

This 1-1 draw with bottom side Elche is also inexplicable because Sevilla drew against an opponent with only 18 points on the season, although a win would have been the absolute minimum requirement to keep their Conference League chances alive.

However, for the sake of completeness, it must be added that after a dream start, Papa Gueye was sent off with a straight red shortly after the opening quarter of an hour, allowing Elche to find their way back into the game.

Nevertheless, now that only seventh place in the league is possible – and only if Bilbao slip up – the FCS would be well advised to save all their concentration and energy for next Wednesday.

Even more so as the visiting opponents will demand everything from the Andalusians. Real Madrid are not only a strong team, but also highly motivated to defend their 2nd place in the league from their city rivals.

For reasons of prestige, Los Blancos must not lose this one-point lead over Atletico. Moreover, the capitals have no other tasks that could distract them from this goal.

Apart from the fact that Ancellotti’s team needs this three-point win more urgently, a look at the direct comparison leaves no other conclusion than to go for an away win bet.

Real Madrid have picked up 22 of the 24 possible points against the Andalusians over the course of the last eight points matches (7 wins, 1 draw). The capital also lived up to their role as favourites in the first leg with a 3:1 win!

Considering these figures and the fact that Sevilla have their most important match of the season just four days later, you can’t help but like the current Sevilla Real Madrid odds.

Because the approximately 2.30 that can be perceived for a success of the Madrilenians via the Bwin app represent an excellent bookmaker offer in my eyes.

Furthermore, FCS coach José Luis Mendilibar would also be well advised not to take too many risks because he is already facing an extremely tense personnel situation.

Joan Jordan, a regular in midfield for many years, has been injured for some time.

Furthermore, since the end of April, two other key players in defence have also been absent almost simultaneously.

These are Bayern newcomer Tanguy Nianzou and the Brazilian Marcao.

If you also take into account that with the already mentioned Papa Gueye another important pillar in the midfield has to serve a red suspension, Sevilla should play with the handbrake on on Saturday.

FCS fans should know, however, that if their team has a chance to beat the Madrilenians, it will definitely be at the Estadio Ramón Sánchez Pizjuán.

Indeed, 4 of the last 7 LaLiga home games against Real have been won – even if the last three games all went to Los Blancos.

Another peculiarity to consider in Bet365 sports betting is certainly the common unwillingness to settle for a draw.

That’s because sunny Sevilla have not agreed a draw with the capitals for 18 points matches.

Summary: The Andalusians’ chances of qualifying for the Conference League via the league are now vanishingly small after the shock draw against perennial bottom side Elche.

Sevilla are also struggling with several absentees, so I can well imagine that the team’s focus is already on the upcoming Europa League final, which could bring some positivity to a disjointed 2022/23 season after all.

A victory over Real, meanwhile, is highly unlikely. On the one hand, because the Madrilenians have dominated this duel in recent years and, on the other, because they must prevent their hated city rivals from overtaking them in the closing metres at all costs.
