The starting position with betting odds

Turkey and Croatia are in Group D of the Euro 2024 qualifiers. The other group opponents are Wales, Armenia and Latvia.

The Turks with national coach Stefan Kuntz had to play in Armenia on matchday 1 and won 2-1. Croatia finished their qualifying opener with a 1-1 home draw against Wales.

Bet365’s betting odds show that Croatia are nevertheless favourites for the guest game in Turkey.

One reason why Croatia are favourites is that the “chequered” side played in the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, reaching the semi-finals and finishing in 3rd place. The Turkish national team, on the other hand, clearly missed out on qualification for the Winter World Cup.

The last meeting between Turkey and Croatia was in November 2020, when they drew 3-3.

The last time they met in a competitive match was at the Euro 2016, when Croatia won 1-0 in the group stage.
