Premier League, Saturday, 12/11/2022

Although it’s not the top game this Saturday in the Premier League, we should be in for a treat in the late game between Wolves and the Gunners.

For on the one hand, the home side could leave the relegation places with a three-pointer. And on the other hand, the Londoners would spend the winter in first place in the table with a win.

My Wolverhampton Arsenal tip is for an intense game in which we are not likely to be spoilt for goals.

There was another piece of positive news in the English West Midlands earlier this week. Julen Lopetegui was introduced as the new coach.

He will not start at the club until after the 2022 World Cup, until then Steve Davis will be in charge of the team before the Spaniard takes over.

And if Wolves fans have their way, the turnaround can’t come fast enough. Before this matchday, they have only ten points on their account and are deep in the relegation battle.

At least the victory in the EFL Cup against Leeds United during the week calmed the nerves a little. But now they have to step up their game in the league as well if they don’t want to slide into their worst start to a season since 2010/11.

Against the top team from the capital, however, this endeavour is likely to be enormously difficult. Although the Gunners lost 3-1 in the cup during the week, the mood could hardly be better.

Recently, they coloured London red when they won the derby against Chelsea 1-0. It was the sixth game this season in which they have held the nil.

Another win at Molineux Stadium on Saturday night and they will definitely be top of the table come Christmas.

And when we analyse the three-way betting predictions for Wolverhampton Arsenal betting tips, it’s immediately apparent that the bookies are giving the visitors a clear favourites role.

This is mainly due to the fact that the Londoners have scored by far the most points on foreign soil this season (16).

But in terms of play, the performances at the beginning of the season were a little better. But now the defence seems to have found its feet. The basis seems to be the work against the ball.

So far, the North Londoners have conceded only four goals away from home – also a league best! Can they do it again?

Against a team that has scored just eight goals this season, this is not a scenario that is completely out of the blue.

Especially as the Arteta eleven has managed to keep a clean sheet in five of the seven away games so far. Wolves, on the other hand, have failed to score in three of their seven home games.

But on the other hand, the home side must be given credit for still being a very difficult team to play against.

They have already conceded eleven goals at home. But a large part of them resulted from wild games like against Manchester City (0:3), Leicester (0:4) or Brighton (2:3).

Will mean that they definitely know how to keep things together at the back. Mixed with the Gunners’ focus on stability on foreign soil, a tight game could develop.

The can opener could be AFC striker Martinelli. The Brazilian has already been able to score the first goal three times.

Conclusion: We should not be spoiled with many goals. Wolves’ style of play is very destructive anyway and the absence of some offensive stars doesn’t make it any better.

The Gunners, on the other hand, will be glad that the World Cup break is almost here and that some players can take a breather. Presumably the others are already in Qatar with one eye open.

That’s why my Wolverhampton Arsenal tip assumes a game with less than 2.5 goals!
