1. FC Phönix Lübeck has agreed a two-year contract with Bernard Kyere. The 29-year-old center back joins the club from Luxembourg first division side Victoria Rosport. The German-Ghanaian has played 88 third division games for Cologne clubs Fortuna and FC Viktoria. Sporting director Frank Salomon describes the promising new signing: “He is strong in the air and good in the tackle, and he has good pace. With his calmness, leadership and experience, ‘Bernie’ will ensure that we can continue to rely on a solid defense.”
