Fancy a game in which anything can happen and nothing is impossible even after the regular 90 minutes have expired? In our Europa League tips, it almost has to be a Turkish representative! In my case, I am referring to the Galatasaray Elfsborg tip.
The reigning Süper Lig champions are in good form, but they also know that supposedly commanding leads can sometimes falter. For Wednesday, however, I am of the opinion that the lions have everything under control, so even a 0-1 handicap is possible.
Of course, I will explain to you in detail why I am making exactly this bet. Elfsborg is by no means an easy opponent, so you have to be fully focused to pull away confidently here.
The Galatasaray Elfsborg odds are clear, with the home side leading with average values of 1.25 to 11.5. However, it should be noted that the underdog recently beat AS Roma!
So I have a lot of work to do, after all, I want to prove to you that Gala has what it takes to win by a clear margin. So how many facts will I be able to recommend to you after my betting tip?
The bookmakers’ prediction
The bookmakers expect Galatasaray to win easily on Wednesday without any problems. This leads to the fact that the odds for a win are below 1.30 at all bookmakers.
Three points for Elfsborg? Nobody really expects that. Despite the 1-0 win against Roma, which was achieved in their own stadium, the odds have shot up to an approximate 11.5.
A draw would certainly be a small success for the guests. If Gala and Elfsborg share the points, the lions have already given away a 2-0 against RFS, you could get betting odds of 6.00.
If you want to ask the artificial intelligence about this game, you will find very interesting approaches. I have again asked ChatGPT to suggest three bets that imply different levels of risk.
There would be a high odds if you say: It will be really clear. A victory for the home side with a 0-3 handicap maybe? That’s ambitious! Since the Turks had a really hard time against RFS, I would be rather cautious here.
The risk is significantly lower if you bet on both teams scoring. I quickly agree to this bet. Why? Quite simply because Galatasaray have not yet kept a clean sheet in the Europa League.
And then there is also the tip that involves the least risk. Will there be less than 1.5 goals in the first half? Once 0:0, once 2:1, the Turkish record champions are up for either, so I can hardly position myself on this bet.
Analysis: Galatasaray vs Elfsborg
Galatasaray, the strongest Turkish champions of all time! The Lions have completely cleaned up in the Süper Lig in 2023/24, but unfortunately the reward in the form of the Champions League was missed.
So Gala is competing in the Europa League and wants to go far here. They kicked off with a 3-1 win over PAOK Saloniki, with all goals coming after the break. When they left for the away game in Riga, everyone expected a clear victory.
It also looked like it, because Galatasaray quickly took a 2-0 lead. Dries Mertens and Yunus Akgün had ensured this result by half-time, but then the defense made far too many mistakes.
Despite almost 80 percent possession, the Turkish record champions were unable to turn the game around and had to settle for a 2-2 draw. It was a mistake that has not happened often this season.
Odds analysis
How many goals will Galatasaray score on Wednesday? More than 2.5 could be on the cards! If it were to be at least a hat-trick, the odds would jump to 1.87.
At the same time, Elfsborg are the clear outsiders in Istanbul. Since the home side like to concede goals, I could imagine a goal from the guests, where the odds even scratch at 1.80.

Galatasaray v Elfsborg: Which striker will decide the game?
In the Süper Lig, Galatasaray are back on top again, having won eight and drawn one. That draw came about because they failed to hold a 3-0 lead against Kasimpasa.
Sometimes the wins are narrow, then again the margin is much greater in a 5-0 or, more recently, a 3-0 win (against Antalyaspor). What Gala doesn’t have this season is a goal scorer who has sole responsibility up front.
Six players have scored at least three goals in all competitive games. It’s hard to figure out who has strikers like Victor Osimhen, Mauro Icardi and Michy Batsuhayi in their ranks.
Elfsborg are counting on the one golden shot!
So far, Gala has always been able to compensate well for injuries, but now Ismael Jacobs will be out for a few weeks. Elfsborg is an opponent that no one at the Lions knows anyway; it is the first time that the two clubs have met.
Galatasaray have played clubs from Sweden seven times, and with only one victory to show, the balance is, of course, more than improvable. But now it’s coming to a premiere, and it should end successfully.

24% possession, 23 shots by the guests, about a quarter of the passes played in comparison? All of that didn’t matter in the end, because Elfsborg won 1-0! Michael Baidoo scored from the spot, and that was all they needed for the win.
The Swedes know that they don’t need many chances, as long as they keep their nerve, a moment of luck is enough to win. In the domestic league, things don’t look particularly good.
A few days ago, the second bankruptcy in a row was set, four wins in the last twelve games sound anything but successful. But I wouldn’t rate the opponents there too highly anyway, because Galatasaray should be on a different level.

Galatasaray should have everything under control against Elfsborg on a normal day – at least if the lions can stop making minor concentration mistakes and make sure that their defense doesn’t give away the wins.
After throwing away a win against RFS, the team hit back in the Süper Lig. Form is good, Gala are top of the league. Elfsborg, on the other hand, somehow managed to win against Roma, and that was at home.
For all these reasons, I expect the visitors to have little chance and Galatasaray to show no weakness. That’s why I’m also going for a handicap bet and tipping:
