Champions League, Tuesday, 06.11.2024 at 21:00
What Hansi Flick has achieved together with FC Barcelona is already insane. The Catalans are top of La Liga, have won eleven out of twelve games and dismantled Real Madrid 4-0 at the Santiago Bernabéu.
Shortly before that, they defeated Flick’s former club Bayern 4:1 in the Champions League. The offense also ran riot in the city derby last weekend. Given their current form, I expect the visitors to dominate.
In my Red Star Belgrade Barcelona betting tip, I’m going with Bet365 odds that Barcelona will score one in each half, the combination can be put together with the betting configurator. The odds are lucrative.
5:0, 3:0, 5:1, 4:1, 4:0, 3:1, these are the last results of Barcelona and for Barcelona. The offense around Robert Lewandowski and Co. has scored at least three goals six times in a row. Real Madrid are being kept at bay in La Liga.
Barca have a nine-point lead, while the Whites still have at least one game in hand. With 40 goals after twelve games, Barcelona have scored twice as many goals as the second-best offense in the league, averaging 3.33, with just eleven goals conceded.
The bookmaker forecast
With Barcelona’s rocket start, the odds distribution doesn’t surprise me, even if it’s in the cauldron of Belgrade. The guests are the heavy favorites at 1.15.
Red Star has a whopping 13.0 odds to win, while a draw is also considered a very unlikely outcome at 7.50. The 1X is in the range of 4.50. The bookmakers clearly expect Barcelona to win and, in my opinion, quite rightly so!
KI prediction Red Star Belgrade vs. Barcelona: ChatGPT
The AI also knows Barcelona’s last results and knows that the offense is running at full speed. ChatGPT therefore has goal bets ready for all three odds suggestions. As a low-risk bet, it sees a win for the visitors in combination with over 2.5 goals.
I can endorse that, as already mentioned, Barcelona have already contributed three goals in the last six games alone. The medium-risk option is riskier: Barca win and both teams score.
Barcelona have survived their last two away games without conceding a goal, one of them at Real Madrid, although the clean sheet was very fortunate. Belgrade are a home power, but the bet is too hot for me given the visitors’ high level of form. Especially as Belgrade have much less quality to offer
I’m more inclined to go for the high-risk bet that the AI has in store for us. Barcelona win with a handicap of -3, which would require a 4:0 or 5:1 victory.
The stakes are roughly quadrupled. I definitely expect the Catalans to score a few goals and to score in both halves, but a four-goal lead at the end is possible, but quite risky as a bet.
Analysis: Red Star Belgrade vs. Barcelona
We must not forget that Barcelona are still missing some key players. In addition to long-term injured regular goalkeeper Marc-Andre ter Stegen, the central defense also looks thin without Ronald Araujo and Andreas Christensen.
So far, Barca have managed the shortage well, while at the same time their opponents have almost reverently missed a few chances against the flick club. At league level, it could have been almost three goals more after expected goals
I don’t expect Barcelona to be swimming at the back against Belgrade, but I do expect them to concede one or two high-calibre goals. Even in the event of another resounding victory, a ball could easily go in through carelessness.
That’s why I have a self-made bet from Betano of 1-2 Belgrade goals, taking the over 0.5 and under 2.5 line for total odds just below the 2.00 odds, a better “Belgrade scores” tip.
At Betano, by the way, you can easily top up your account with Apple Pay and get a €20 free bet before you make your first deposit.
Odds Analysis
Ferran Torres and Marc Bernal are among the absentees for Barcelona, who travel to Belgrade with a wide squad apart from the central defense. Before I turn my attention to the underdogs from Belgrade, I want to recommend a few goalscorer odds.
To do so, I’ll also take a look at the Winamax sports betting community. Lewandowski’s 1.56 and Raphinha’s 2.20 are the most popular bets on the day. RL9 has scored in five of the last six games, Raphinha in the last three.
Since we are expecting another offensive gala from Barca anyway, there should be several goalscorers again. My favorite is the 2.80 of Dani Olmo, after his muscular injury he finally returned with two goals against Espanyol after a short stint at Real.
In the 4-2-3-1, he took the place in the center behind Lewandowski, accompanied on the wings by Raphinha and Lamine Yamal. This offense is really brutal! I’m not really a goalscorer betting guy, but two individual odds on Raphinha and Olmo definitely make me smile here.
Red Star Belgrade vs Barcelona odds: Belgrade have the weakest CL defense
Belgrade have yet to pick up a point in the Champions League season so far, are only in 33rd place ahead of the start of matchday four, and have conceded the most of any team with eleven goals.
Vanja Drkusic, an important central defender, is also missing from the squad. Alongside Peter Olayinka, this is at least the only loss for the Serbs, who face a mammoth task.
Slumps against Inter and Monaco for Belgrade
After qualifying against Bodo/Glimt, the reigning Serbian champions started with a 2-1 defeat against Benfica, but the Portuguese capital side proved to be efficient.
A 0:4 defeat at Inter Milan and a further 5:1 defeat at AS Monaco followed. They finished 27:5 in their last outing and now face an opponent who I expect to be much better overall and especially in offense.
At least they get to play Barcelona at home.
In the Serbian league, which is in no way comparable to La Liga, things are going really well for Partizan’s rivals. Like Barcelona, Belgrade have only failed to win one of their matches, and their record of twelve wins from 13 games and one draw is dominant.
Only shortly after the start of the new season did they only manage a 2-2 draw against Mladost. Recently, the men in the red shirts celebrated clear victories, but I am not impressed by them ahead of the match against Barca.
Double winners Red Star have by far the best squad in the championship, all other teams have a squad value below 30 million euros, almost half do not even have a double-digit million euro squad.
Barcelona is more than three times heavier than the entire Serbian league. All teams in the Spanish top flight have a higher market value than Belgrade’s 15 league opponents.
My Red Star Belgrade Barcelona tip:
Barca thumping win, shut up, next one! Yes, I’m assuming another scoring fest for the Catalans. They are on a high and are putting in consistent performances game after game. For me, their offense is the best in the world right now and is now even stronger with the return of Olmo.
I think his goalscoring rate of 2.80 is outstanding. Ultimately, the Barca defense came off too well in my eyes and according to expected goals figures in various games, which is why I also trust the good Belgrade offense to score one or two goals.
There are also good odds for this. First and foremost, I’m relying on the visitors’ attacking package, who are likely to set off the next fireworks after their resounding victories against Bayern and Young Boys. Incidentally, Barcelona have scored in both halves of their last four games.
My Red Star Belgrade Barcelona prediction: Barcelona will score in every half!
