The big winners of the winter transfer period are all those of you who have registered with NEO.bet – and, of course, those officials at Juve who made sure that Randal Kolo Muani moved to Turin.
In my Como Juventus betting tip, I am therefore taking a path that I would not have taken a few weeks ago.
But the invigorating influence of the Frenchman on the “Bianconeri’s” lethargic offensive play could soon pose massive problems for the promoted team.
Just a few weeks ago, I would have told you that Como could keep Turin’s predictable offense in check even for 90 minutes.
But with the transfer of Kolo Muani, the tide has turned. The Frenchman has visibly invigorated the “Old Lady’s” offensive play and is providing significantly more punch.
This increases the pressure on the hosts, who can no longer afford another setback in the relegation battle anyway.
Three defeats in the last four league games mean that Como are still in the middle of the relegation battle.
Cesc Fàbregas’s side are just two points above the relegation zone after losing 2-0 to Bologna last time out, keeping a clean sheet for the first time since December.
Como are particularly struggling away from home, with seven defeats in the league’s away games scraping the negative record.
So it’s a good thing that they are now returning to the Stadio Giuseppe Sinigaglia! Como have scored six consecutive home games here, and have even won three of their last five games – including impressive victories against Roma (2-0) and Udinese (4-1).
Juventus, on the other hand, managed to pull back after initially suffering two consecutive defeats – including their first loss of the season in Serie A – with a furious comeback against Empoli (4:1).
The Old Lady scored four times after the break alone, impressively demonstrating their quality. Now, the team is looking to win two league games in a row for the first time since the beginning of November and thus move into the top four, at least temporarily.
In fact, the signing of Randal Kolo Muani seems to have sparked a sense of optimism in Turin, but as you will soon learn, not all is well that ends well at Juve…
The away record of the “Old Lady” is sobering: only one win in the last nine competitive away games (7 draws, 1 loss).
Defensively, the team is also far from watertight – they have not kept a clean sheet in five consecutive away games in the Serie A.
At the same time, there has been a lack of offense: only once in the last nine away games has Juve scored more than one goal. However, I deliberately used the past tense of the verb “to lack”…
If the Bianconeri’s winter signing continues to play like this, Dusan Vlahovic should continue to only play a role as a substitute.
With his brace in the second half against Empoli, Randal Kolo Muani became only the second player since the introduction of the 3-point rule to score in his first two Serie A games for Juventus – after Carlos Tevez in 2013.
The Frenchman has also scored five of his last six goals at club level after the break. So, if I were to bet on Kolo Muani as a goalscorer on a good betting app, I would bet on “goal at any time”.
With average odds of around 3.00, this is already a sufficiently attractive option that does not need to be spiced up any further.
But the fact that Muani likes to score late goals is not insignificant when we look at the promoted team’s tendencies in the current season.
Only Parma (15) have conceded more goals at home in the second half than Como (14) in this Serie A season.
“Juve scores a goal in both halves” at odds of 3.20 is therefore also a Como Juventus tip that you should consider. After all, Thiago Motta has now got his dream striker!
Conclusion: Randal Kolo Muani is proving to be a real game changer in what has been a rather mixed season for the “Bianconeri” so far.
Just a few weeks ago, I would have assessed the situation against the promoted team quite differently.
But with the agile Frenchman in the center of the forward line and an away win rate of over 2.00, I am inclined to place my trust in Thiago Motta’s team this time.
Don’t forget: at the end of the day, a promoted team is facing a Champions League participant.
My Como Juventus betting tip for you is therefore: Half-time/full-time 2/2.
