Sevilla FC is no longer a top team in the Primera Division – that has to be said for better or for worse. The Andalusians are still fighting for international business, even though they have not won two consecutive games this season.
On Monday, a very interesting opponent will arrive, who is difficult to assess at first glance. In my Sevilla Mallorca betting tip, I will therefore tell you which game I am expecting and why I am betting on “double chance 1X” with under 2.5 goals.
In the top Spanish division, it’s a bit like in the Bundesliga: there are few really strong teams, but all the more teams fighting for Europe – there are only six points between sixth and 14th place.
So it’s impossible to predict here who will get the coveted tickets in the end. Sevilla are in the thick of the action, but would be wise to just focus on themselves.
The Andalusians have won just one third of their games, eight out of 24. What is striking here is that they have never managed to get two wins in a row. The problem is that they only recently beat Real Valladolid 4-0!
If the bad luck continues, it could mean that they won’t get the three points on Monday. 0-0, 1-4, 4-0: the last three games couldn’t have been more different.
After five home games without a defeat, Sevilla lost again recently, the 4-1 against Barca was a clear result. The results at the Estadio Ramón Sánchez Pizjuán are not exactly known for many goals.
1:1, 1:1, 1:0, 1:1, 1:0 – before the defeat against Barcelona, the fans regularly had to settle for a low-key game. Only three games exceeded the 2.5 goals, Sevilla itself only scored 11 goals in 12 matches.
In seven of the last eight games, exactly one goal was scored, and in nine of twelve home games, exactly one goal was scored. Here I look to Interwetten, because they offer the ideal bet for this.
In the event that the Andalusians score exactly one goal again on Monday, odds of 2.50 are due. Also interesting: Sevilla have only managed to score before half-time five times, and in six of their last eight matches, their offense has been lackluster during this period.
No wonder, because in the table Mallorca is only three points ahead – and still five places ahead! These are exactly the narrow margins that I mentioned at the beginning.
The visitors have finally won again after four games without a win, ending their crisis with a 3-1 win over Las Palmas. It was only the second time this season that they have scored three goals of their own.
Mallorca limits itself to the bare minimum in offense, especially away from home, where they have scored only ten goals. The team has lost three of its last four away games without scoring, and has not scored at all in five away games.
How often has Mallorca scored away from home in the first half? Twice, and not at all since September! In almost 50 percent of all cases, regardless of the venue, the score was still 0-0 at half-time.
Only once, and that was back in September, did Mallorca manage to score three times in a row. Since we are currently at two games, the team could therefore end this small streak.
Sevilla FC are still struggling to find their feet this season. Will they finally manage to win twice in a row? Mallorca are not an overwhelming opponent, but unfortunately they are not easy to play against either.
After my analysis, I find it very difficult to name a favorite. Since Sevilla usually performs quite solidly in their own stadium and rarely loses, I have already decided on the “double chance 1X”.
I also discovered that there is almost always only one goal scored at home. Mallorca is not exactly among the best in offense either, with the average not even reaching one goal away from home. Therefore, my combination bet for you is:
