PSG – Lille betting tip, prediction & odds 01/03/2025

Ligue 1, Saturday, 01/03/2025 at 9:05 PM

Lille are currently the Ligue 1 side with the best defense after league leaders Paris. However, that could change very quickly at the weekend. On Saturday, they will be visiting the Parc des Princes to play the strong Paris Saint-Germain, who are scoring one win after another.

So, will it be an unpleasant affair for LOSC as well? I think that Lille could at least make life a little more difficult for the hosts than their last opponents, but the challenger has to manage his resources before the game in Dortmund.

In my PSG Lille betting tip, I am primarily assuming that the league leaders want to wrap things up quickly in view of the upcoming Champions League clash against Liverpool and will start scoring goals in the first half.

That’s why I combined the Over 0.5 and Under 2.5 PSG goals in the first half in the Oddset bet configurator. In other words: Paris scores one or two goals before the half-time whistle.

PSG against Liverpool, it’s going to be a really interesting Champions League round of 16. Two of the strongest teams in Europe are going head to head! Before that, the league match against Lille is on the program on Saturday.

LOSC also has to play in the Königslasse – and that’s already on Tuesday, away at Dortmund.

Paris get 1.46 odds before kick-off, Lille 6.00, and for the draw, our betting providers serve up 5.00 with PayPal as the payment method.

Olympique Sport Club is the only club to have dethroned PSG since the 2017/2018 season. In the dominant PSG era, Lille were able to pull off an upset in 2020/21 and secure the fourth league title in history.

This season, however, PSG is once again far ahead, with a whopping 13-point lead with 11 matches to go. At the current rate, they would be champions as early as match day 30. 18 wins and five draws in 23 unbeaten games – what a record!

Admittedly, in terms of budget, PSG are once again in a league of their own, but I still didn’t expect this level of dominance in the first season after Kylian Mbappe left.

With 62 goals, the record champions have by far the best offense, scoring almost three times on average. 22 goals conceded is also the best record, with just nine at home.

And only two teams have managed to take anything home from the Parc des Princes. Nantes and Reims were the only ones to do so, with a 1-1 draw in each case. The French starting lineup conceded their last competitive defeat against Bayern Munich in November.

Paris initially had a harder time in the premier class, but were finally able to dominate in Stuttgart and thus secure a place in the playoffs, before booking their ticket to the last 16 with a whopping 10-0 aggregate victory over Brest over two legs.

The 2025 record is incredible: 15 competitive games, 14 of them won. Only Reims had something to say in the 1-1 draw. The cup victory against the clear underdog Stade Briochin saw the 50th goal of the year, and that was back in February!

Before the comfortable win in the Coupe de France, PSG had to work harder against Lyon (3:2). And now against Lille?

I don’t expect full-throttle football for 90 minutes, given the comfortable lead and the upcoming CL match, I expect rotations or early substitutions of key players.

Nevertheless, this game in France is also a prestige clash that PSG will not just give away.

I expect, as in the previous games, that PSG will push from the start and want to make its mark on the game early on. This time even more so in order to save enough strength for Wednesday. Therefore, this time I am dedicating myself to a combination bet for the first 45 minutes.

One or two goals should definitely be in it, but a complete “outbreak” should be avoided. Lille has only conceded eight goals in 11 away games, the best in the league!

PSG has also scored one or two goals by half-time in six of its last eight games, including in the two league games that the favorite won 3-1 in each case. Incidentally, both teams scored seven times in a row.

The BTS is a bet that I also find very interesting and that is in a lucrative range at 1.60. Lille have scored in their last ten matches and won three of their last four league games. In 2025, they only failed to score in a 0-0 draw against Auxerre.

Due to the recent form, the large lead for Paris, coupled with the upcoming Champions League match, I clearly refrain from a 1X2 tip here; a draw would not be a disaster for the hosts anyway.

Lille, meanwhile, is fighting with Marseille, Nice, Monaco and Lyon for Champions League places.

Although the team is also keeping an eye on the premier league, the tight fight in the league means that the team in fourth place cannot afford to make any major changes.

Conclusion: PSG and Lille have to play in the Champions League after the top game in Ligue 1. Especially the dominator of the season should want to make everything clear quickly, goes into all games bravely from the first minute anyway.

Lille have hardly been beaten this season, conceding just three goals in two competitive games, and away from home, LOSC have conceded the fewest goals of any team.

I expect that, as in the last two meetings, we will again see one or two PSG goals by the break. It fits that Lille have conceded three of their last four goals in the first half.

My PSG Lille tip is therefore: PSG scores 1-2 goals in half time 1!
