Leipzig is sticking with head coach Marco Rose for the time being, but after the 2-1 home loss to Mainz, it is hard to imagine that the 48-year-old will remain in office beyond the summer. Sebastian Hoeneß is increasingly emerging as the preferred candidate. The 42-year-old was a youth coach at RB between 2014 and 2017 and has an escape clause at VfB Stuttgart in the summer. This is said to be worth eight million euros.
