Turbulent 24 hours: New coach and striker for Reggiana

Destro, Mattia

 – unassigned

After the clear derby defeat at US Sassuolo (1:5) on Saturday, events came thick and fast for AC Reggiana 1919, who finished third from bottom in Serie B. Within 24 hours, the club from the town of Reggio nell’Emilia had replaced its coach – former player Davide Dionigi has taken charge of the relegation battle in Lombardy – and was also able to unveil a prominent new signing on Monday evening. Eight-time Italian international striker Mattia Destro will be on the hunt for goals for AC until the summer – the ex-Milan, ex-Bologna and former Roma player has been without a club since last summer.
