Mats Hummels will leave AS Roma after just one season and hang up his football boots. “After more than 18 years and so many things that football has given me, I will end my career this summer,” the 36-year-old center-back announced in a video message on Friday evening. He was crowned German champion five times with Borussia Dortmund and FC Bayern, among other achievements. In 2014, he scored the decisive 1-0 in the quarter-final against France on the way to the World Cup title in Brazil.
