Bundesliga Austria, match day 25, Sunday, 13/04/2025 at 2:30 pm
A real heart-stopping finale awaits us! Boredom in the Austrian Bundesliga, that was once upon a time. Sturm Graz, Austria Vienna and Red Bull Salzburg are only separated by two points, with eight matches still to be played in the championship round, the race is completely open.
In my RB Salzburg Sturm Graz betting tip, there is therefore an incredible amount of explosive potential, because RB could be decisively distanced. So I’ll tell you why I think the BTS bet is best suited here.
A lonely race at the top, a title celebration in the last snowfall, yawning boredom? Of course, I can’t speak for all fans of RB Salzburg, but one or the other who doesn’t love the great excitement might wish for all of this back.
In 2024, the Bulls were replaced by Sturm Graz, the subscription to the Austrian championship ended. In the current season, Salzburg now has to deal with two unwelcome competitors at once.
The table for the championship round currently looks like this: Graz and Austria have 27 points, RB has 25. With 20 points, Wolfsberger AC could still be in the running.
I’ll start my analysis with the defending champions from Graz, as they deserve that. With three wins and a draw, their most recent haul doesn’t look too bad. But there are a few stats that don’t convince me.
Since the end of October, it has worked twice to win two in a row, a longer series is no longer possible. Only once, and that was still in August, did Sturm play twice in a row without conceding a goal.
This is important in that the most recent 2-0 win against Rapid Vienna included keeping a clean sheet. Nine goals conceded in the first half, 20 in the second? That’s a difference I notice very quickly.
Accordingly, you can of course bet that Salzburg will score in the second half on Sunday. At Betano, this bet ensures odds of 1.50.
Not enough? Then maybe take the opposite and say that there will be no goal in the first half. Now the value is a bit higher at 2.00. By the way, with Betano you can save a lot with the code “”BONUSVIP“”, not only a 20 euro free bet is possible!
The Grazers are unlikely to be satisfied with just two wins from their last six away games, and they have only kept a clean sheet twice away from home. That’s a good cue to move on to the direct comparison.
2:2, 5:0, 1:3 – the three previous meetings between the two teams could not have been more different and, above all, more spectacular. In terms of the Bundesliga, Graz has not been able to win in Salzburg since November 2020.
It was therefore not too difficult for our tax-free betting providers to decide on a favorite. While RB go into the game with average odds of 1.95, the guests have odds of 3.60.
Sturm Graz, of course, know that they cannot afford to lose, otherwise they will be overtaken. On the other hand, Salzburg have to play to win, so it’s not a position that suggests a boring encounter.
RB have won five of their last six games. With 37 goals, the offense is noticeably restrained, while Graz already has 54 goals.
Pleasing: 26 times it has rung in its own Red Bull stadium. Incredibly, but in fact the top club only scores 11 goals away from home! With nine goals conceded at home, no one can complain about a supposedly weak defense.
Three times it scored before half-time, but once against Graz. Of course, it would be an advantage for Salzburg if they could field their strongest lineup in the fight for the title, but unfortunately that is not the case.
Karim Onisiwo and Oscar Gloukh are injured and both will be out for a few weeks. Seedy Jatta is out for the visitors, the attacker will be out for several weeks with an ankle injury.
The championship is more exciting than ever! Three teams are fighting for the title in Austria, two of which will face each other on Sunday. RB Salzburg is currently on the rise, especially at home, where the Bulls are very dangerous.
Sturm Graz, on the other hand, is struggling with a lack of wins, and is not really satisfied. They will also be aware that they have not won in the Red Bull Arena for quite a while in the Bundesliga.
All in all, I expect a fast-paced top game in which nothing will be given away. And since 13 goals have already been scored in the first three duels this season, my tip is:
Both teams score!
