The battle for the Champions League is taking a dramatic turn. In the Premier League, it is still unclear who will make it in the end. This is good news for the Blues, who have been struggling for weeks but are still holding on to their place in the upper ranks.
On Sunday, they travel to Craven Cottage as slight favorites. In my Fulham Chelsea prediction, I’ll tell you why I disagree with the bookmakers and don’t expect the home side to lose – so I’m going for the “double chance 1X.”
First, the good news: Chelsea FC advanced to the semifinals of the Conference League this week. After a 3-0 win in the first leg against Legia Warsaw, they let it slip at home, but the 1-2 defeat didn’t matter in the end.
Now the Londoners have to see if they can get back on track in the Premier League. They have won only three of their last eight games here and have recorded just one double victory since the beginning of December.
It’s easy to explain why this is the case. Chelsea have not lost a league game at home this year, recording five wins. Away from home, however, where things were going so well at the start of the season, nothing is working anymore.
They have been winless for eight games, picking up just three points in that time. The Blues have completely lost their scoring touch, managing just three goals. In that respect, it is only logical that the bet “Chelsea will not score against Fulham” catches my eye.

The team’s form away from home is completely off the mark. Regardless of the venue, the club from the capital has not scored before half-time in five games.

In the first half of the season, which fans won’t be happy to hear, Chelsea lost 1-2 to Fulham. Two wins from the last five games? This historical excerpt doesn’t sound so good.
Two defeats in the last 26? That sounds better! Things seem to be changing a little, with Fulham improving their record slightly. However, it’s still not enough to be considered the favorite this weekend.
If you want to place a win bet here, our German-licensed betting providers are offering odds of 2.45 to 2.80 from the visitors’ perspective. At Craven Cottage, however, they know that their opponents are in the midst of a genuine away crisis.
Fulham itself is ninth, with 13 wins, nine draws, and ten losses, playing a thoroughly mediocre season. Six points behind the international spots, there is still some room for improvement in theory.
They have been alternating between wins and losses for twelve rounds, and the results are difficult to explain. They won 3-2 against Liverpool and lost only narrowly 1-2 against Arsenal, but then had to admit defeat to Bournemouth (0-1) and Crystal Palace (0-2).
In 2025, they have only kept a clean sheet against Leicester and Tottenham. At least three of the last four home games have been won. In eight of the last nine matches, the Cottagers have conceded goals in the first half, which certainly suits Chelsea.
But: On the other hand, there have only been three home games in which Fulham went into the half-time break trailing. It is also worth noting that the fans have seen no goals in the first half on only three occasions.
This is not a given for a club that has already shared the points ten times this season. Four times the score was 0-0 at half-time, so there is usually something to cheer about in the first half.
Incidentally, the Seagulls lost narrowly 1-2 at Anfield, and they also lost 2-4 at Chelsea. So it’s not really the norm for them to get thrashed by top teams, as happened in Nottingham.
In the final stretch of the season, Chelsea FC need to start another winning streak. The Blues have been alarmingly weak away from home for several months, especially in defense.
At Fulham FC, on the other hand, you can basically expect anything. There are no more draws; wins and losses are currently evenly split. The fact that Chelsea are still one of their bogey teams doesn’t matter much to me.
In recent years, the trend has started to shift slightly. Since Chelsea also had to play in the Conference League during the week, I’m sticking with their away form and predicting:
