1. FC Kaiserslautern has parted ways with head coach Markus Anfang with four games remaining in the season. The 50-year-old was under contract with the Red Devils until June 2026, but after three consecutive defeats, FCK pulled the plug. On Tuesday evening, FCK confirmed the separation, which had been reported by both Bild and Sky. Anfang had only taken over at Betzenberg before this season and had turned Lautern into a promotion contender after a difficult season. His name was also said to have been mentioned at Schalke 04 recently, but the rumors played no role in the surprising decision.
