Shortly before kick-off on matchday 34 against SC Paderborn, Karlsruher SC announced the extension of Marvin Wanitzek’s contract. The 32-year-old, who is said to have been courted by Bundesliga clubs, has committed himself to the second division club for the “long term.” His previous contract was valid until summer 2027.
