In January 2020, Reinier moved from Brazil to Real Madrid, where he was considered another top Brazilian talent that the Royal Club wanted to develop. What followed were four loan spells, including one at Borussia Dortmund, and not a single appearance for Real Madrid’s first team. Now the 23-year-old midfielder is returning to his native Brazil to join Atlético Mineiro. Reinier has signed a contract there until the end of December 2029.
