Hecking, Dieter
– VfL Bochum
+ without club
VfL Bochum has drawn conclusions from its poor start to the season and parted ways with coach Dieter Hecking after the fifth match day. The 61-year-old took over VfL last November but was unable to prevent the club’s relegation from the Bundesliga. Now, the traditional club has only managed one win from its first five second division games, which is why the club is restructuring: in addition to Hecking, sporting director Dirk Dufner, who had only been in office since April, is also stepping down. U-19 coach David Siebers will take over training in Bochum “until further notice.”
