Liverpool – Everton Tip Premier League, Matchday 5 on Saturday, 09/20/25 at 1:30 p.m.
After their 3-2 victory over Atlético Madrid in the Champions League, Liverpool FC continue their Premier League campaign with a match against Everton FC. Once again, the Reds are the favorites going into the game.
However, I have to make one reservation in my Liverpool Everton tip. In the league, Liverpool have been taking it easy before halftime so far. The bet “1st half under 1.5 goals” may seem unusual, but it is available at odds of around 1.55 at Merkur Bets.
In fact, the bet would have been successful in all four of Liverpool’s Premier League games so far. I would not be surprised if this also applies to the traditionally close Merseyside derby.
Liverpool vs. Everton AI predictions:
Our AI model is not a fan of foggy weather, but the Premier League is still on the digital brain’s radar, of course. Accordingly, I’m now taking a look at the Liverpool Everton AI prediction.
Given the high risk, the AI is going for a handicap bet. However, in my opinion, “Liverpool win with HC -2” is a little too ambitious. The odds of around 4.00 at all established and new betting providers are strong. However, the Reds’ recent league wins against Arsenal (1-0) and Burnley (1-0) have been rather minimal.
Predicted chance of winning:
| Liverpool win |
Draw |
Everton win |
| 77.3% |
14% |
8.7% |
The digital assistant sees medium risk in the bet “Everton under 0.5 goals.” This is supported by the fact that Everton has failed to score in three of its last six games. Liverpool, meanwhile, has not conceded a goal in two consecutive league games. The odds of around 2.25 are worth considering, at least as a free bet.
The AI is calling for “Liverpool over 1.5 goals” as a low-risk bet. The odds are quite low at around 1.50, considering that LFC’s last two league games have produced only two goals in total. On the other hand, the bet would have been a good fit in the Champions League against Atletico.
What you need to consider when betting on Liverpool vs. Everton
- Liverpool are unbeaten in their last 19 Premier League home games at Anfield Road (15 wins, 4 draws) – their last defeat was a 1-0 setback against Nottingham Forest in September 2024.
- Everton, on the other hand, have won six of their last eleven Premier League away games (2 draws, 3 defeats) – as many away wins as in their previous 30 games combined (6 wins, 10 draws, 14 defeats). All six wins came in 2025.
- The Merseyside derby has produced more red cards than any other fixture in Premier League history – 25 in total. Eleven of those were received by Everton under David Moyes, spread across 24 games in his two spells in charge.
- Mohamed Salah has scored eight goals for Liverpool in the derby against Everton – in the Premier League, only Steven Gerrard has scored more, with nine goals in the Merseyside derby.
