Daniel Thioune is on the verge of being sacked in Düsseldorf – and a successor is apparently already lined up. According to multiple media reports, Markus Anfang is set to become Fortuna’s new coach. The 51-year-old was most recently in charge of 1. FC Kaiserslautern, but was dismissed by the Palatinate club in the middle of the promotion race last season. Düsseldorf started the season with promotion ambitions, but after eight games, Fortuna is in 13th place in the table with only ten points.
