Three defeats in four World Cup qualifying games were too many, with Monday evening’s 1-0 loss to Kosovo in Gothenburg the sad final straw: On Tuesday, the Swedish Football Association (SvFF) announced the departure of national coach Jon Dahl Tomasson. The 49-year-old had been in office since February 2024, but lost seven of his 18 international matches. It is not yet known who will succeed him.
