Graham Potter is set to lead the Swedish national team to the World Cup after all. The 50-year-old was confirmed on Monday as the successor to Jon Dahl Tomasson, who was dismissed last week. His contract initially runs only until the possible playoff games in March and would be extended until the World Cup if Sweden qualifies. After their recent 0-1 defeat to Kosovo, Sweden are bottom of Group B. Potter was dismissed by West Ham United at the end of September. Until 2018, he spent seven years with Swedish club Östersunds FK.
