Frankfurt – Liverpool Prediction Champions League, Matchday 3 on Wednesday, 10/22/2025 at 9:00 p.m.
On Matchday 3 of the Champions League preliminary round, Eintracht Frankfurt faces a formidable challenge. Liverpool FC, a top Premier League team that many experts consider to be among the favorites in the competition, is the visiting team.
In my Frankfurt vs. Liverpool prediction, however, I will show that Eintracht could have picked a much worse time to face Jürgen Klopp’s former team.
Accordingly, the “Double Chance 1X” at odds of around 2.45 at Bet-at-home is a no-brainer.
In fact, there is currently a lot of sand in the LFC’s gears. The English team has lost its last four games and is now facing a decisive match in Frankfurt.
If they fail to pick up three points in Frankfurt, coach Arne Slot is likely to come under fire. Even though Frankfurt have also struggled for form recently, everything is set for a thrilling Champions League evening.
Frankfurt – Liverpool Prediction & Betting
Liverpool are strong in attack, and Frankfurt have a penchant for wild games anyway. Accordingly, I have my eye on “Both teams to score” at odds of around 1.45 as a safety-first alternative at Oddset Mobile. It’s hard to imagine either team failing to score here.
Since I expect Eintracht to come out firing against a struggling Liverpool side and engage in an open exchange of blows from the start, the bet “Over 1.5 goals in the first half” (odds approx. 2.00) is also a good option. A 1-1 score at halftime would not be unrealistic.
As a third betting alternative, I’m going with “Frankfurt over 1.5 goals.” The odds are around 2.50, which I think is a clear value bet considering that SGE currently has the second-best offense in the Bundesliga after Bayern.
What you need to know about betting on Frankfurt vs. Liverpool
- After the two previous encounters, Eintracht Frankfurt is still waiting for a win against Liverpool FC (1D, 1L).
- Liverpool has lost only one of its last 15 European Cup games against German teams (10W, 4D).
- LFC has won its last five games against German teams with a goal difference of 12:1.
- All of Frankfurt’s goals (excluding own goals) in this CL season have been scored by Jonathan Burkhardt (2 goals, 1 assist) and Ansgar Knauff (1 goal, 1 assist) .
Frankfurt – Liverpool: AI tip & odds analysis
Our AI model is of course also on hand in the Champions League and won’t miss the match between SGE and LFC. Which tips from the Frankfurt Liverpool AI prediction are right for you?
First, the AI is targeting an extremely interesting goal bet. “Liverpool under 2.5 goals” has odds of around 1.60. Given the English team’s poor form, this is certainly not a bad choice. In their last six games, the Reds have never scored more than two goals.
The second AI selection puts the “draw at half-time” bet on the table. The odds of around 2.60 are strong, but of course involve a certain amount of risk. For me, a narrow lead for Frankfurt (or Liverpool) is just as realistic a scenario.
The model takes a full risk with its third tip. The “2-2 result bet” is priced at around 13.5 and is also one of my preferred final scores. And don’t forget: Frankfurt recently drew with SC Freiburg in the Bundesliga with that very result.
The best odds for Frankfurt vs. Liverpool
The classic 1×2 odds from the major betting providers come as no big surprise. Despite its form problems, Liverpool FC is the favorite going into the match and is estimated at odds of around 1.60.
What strikes me is the high odds for a draw. These are in the region of 4.60. My instinctive reaction would be to say that the bookmakers are clearly underestimating Eintracht’s chances of taking at least a point off LFC.
Frankfurt’s odds of winning are close to 5.00. After the bitter 1-5 defeat against Atletico, this is of course understandable, even if it should be noted that the Bundesliga club suffered this defeat in Spain and not on home turf.
If I had to choose a 1×2 bet, I would go for a draw and repeat our AI model’s 2-2 prediction.
Frankfurt vs Liverpool match analysis:
Looking at the head-to-head record, it’s hard to get too excited. Frankfurt and Liverpool have met twice before, but those matches were in the 1972/73 UEFA Cup (2-0 for Liverpool, 0-0).
So the data is more for historians and less helpful for sports betting analysis.
If you take a look at Frankfurt’s goal difference (19-18 after 7 match days) and consider their two results in the Champions League so far (5-1 against Galatasaray, 1-5 against Atletico), a classic 0-0 draw against Liverpool would be nothing short of a sensation.
So we can expect a turbulent game in which neither team will be too concerned about defense.
If one of the two teams prevails in the end, it will probably be 3:2 rather than 1:0.
Frankfurt form check
It’s hard to know what to make of Eintracht Frankfurt at the start of the season. With three wins, one draw, and three losses, the Hessians are somewhere between “on target” and “off target” in the Bundesliga.
The fact that SGE first swept Galatasaray aside in the Champions League and then got crushed by Atletico fits all too well into the picture.
Ahead of the clash with Liverpool, there are many question marks surrounding Eintracht’s form, especially as the defense remains the traditional club’s biggest problem child.
A team that concedes 18 goals in seven Bundesliga games is definitely not doing everything right. That’s why Frankfurt will probably have no choice but to go on the offensive against Liverpool.
Liverpool form check
After Jürgen Klopp’s departure, it would not have been surprising if Liverpool FC had fallen into a kind of identity crisis, at least temporarily – similar to BVB.
Accordingly, it was quite surprising in the end that Arne Slot was able to win the Premier League title in his first year at LFC and did not show any signs of settling in.
But now LFC is in its first major crisis under Slot. They have fallen to fourth place in the league and have already suffered their first defeat in the Champions League (0-1 against Galatasaray).
Further defeats against teams such as Crystal Palace and Manchester United prove that the Reds are not only struggling against established top teams at the moment. Another slip-up against Frankfurt is therefore by no means out of the question.
