500 days after tearing his cruciate ligament and suffering several setbacks, Ozan Kabak (25) celebrated his comeback on Sunday at St. Pauli in the final stages of the game. Although he still needs some time to get back to his former level of performance, contract talks are coming up soon. “We will also talk to him about his future in the winter,” explained Hoffenheim’s sporting director Andreas Schicker. If the parties cannot reach an agreement, Kabak will be available on a free transfer in the summer.
