Sergej Milinkovic-Savic was one of the stars who succumbed to the lure of money a few years ago and decided to move to Saudi Arabia. He won the championship with Al-Hilal in 2023/24, and has now extended his contract early by another two years until 2028 – and is apparently being very well paid for it. According to Serbian media reports, the 30-year-old will now earn an annual salary of €30 million, making him one of the highest-paid soccer players in the world.
