After just under a year and a half, Dejan Stankovic is leaving the coaching post at Spartak Moscow. As the Russian club announced, they agreed to terminate the contract with the 47-year-old. Stankovic had been harshly criticized since the beginning of the season, but the timing of the separation came as a surprise, as Stankovic had recently won four of five competitive games. Nevertheless, expectations in Moscow simply seemed too high. A successor is not known.
