That happened quickly: Peter Pacult was only in charge of five games at Wolfsberger AC, and on Wednesday morning the Carinthian Bundesliga club parted ways with the 66-year-old coach, who once scored goals for 1860 Munich and was also coach there as he was at Dynamo Dresden. Pacult had taken over the WAC after the surprising departure of Dietmar Kühbauer to LASK and had only one win in four league games (1/1/2). In addition, a narrow cup victory against underdog Amstetten was achieved. The new man at the WAC is Ismail Atalan. The 45-year-old German once caused a sensation at Sportfreunde Lotte, where he celebrated promotion to the 3rd division for the first time and a place in the DFB Cup quarter-finals.
