Despite recent successes, 1. FC Nürnberg is not planning an immediate contract extension with coach Miroslav Klose. “Both I and my colleagues on the Board of Management and the Supervisory Board have a great deal of appreciation for Miro. But I spoke to Miro a few weeks ago and agreed with him that we would first focus on the day-to-day work,” said sporting director Joti Chatzialexiou on the sidelines of the general meeting, where Klose was absent due to illness. Most recently, there had been talk in the media of an imminent contract extension until at least 2028. The previous contract of the 2014 world champion is dated until next summer.
