1. FC Saarbrücken and coach Alois Schwartz are going their separate ways “by mutual agreement”, the third-division club announced on Tuesday after eight games without a win. Until the winter break, sporting director Jürgen Luginger will take over responsibility on the sidelines on an interim basis. NLZ director Karsten Specht will act as assistant coach with immediate effect, while the previous Schwartz assistant Dimitrios Moutas has also been released.
