Danilo Doekhi’s contract with Union Berlin expires in the summer. And according to kicker, the defender is currently not keen to extend his contract, as he absolutely wants to play internationally again. “I can’t say for sure that I’ll still be here after the winter. Sometimes something happens that you don’t expect,” he had said at the beginning of September. However, there is much to suggest that the 27-year-old will remain with the Iron until the summer, as buddy Diogo Leite’s contract expires in June. And as kicker learned, the latter is more likely to be a candidate who is to be sold for a transfer fee in the winter.
