After taking over in the summer of 2024, Dietmar Hirsch promptly led MSV Duisburg from the Regionalliga to the 3rd division. And there, too, his team builds on the strong performances and is once again in contention for promotion. Now the coach is to be rewarded with a contract extension. Before the top match against Energie Cottbus, Hirsch confirmed that he was “in very good, positive talks” with the club. MSV sporting director Chris Schmoldt also explained: “We would very much like to work with him in the long term.”
