According to media reports, MLS club Toronto FC has made an offer of the equivalent of a good 15 million euros for striker Josh Sargent from English second division Norwich City – both clubs are now in negotiations. The 25-year-old ex-Werder player had refused to play in Norwich’s 5-1 FA Cup win against Mansfield on Sunday. Norwich manager Philippe Clement said afterwards that Sargent had sent him a message on Saturday evening and that he was “thinking about transfer matters”. Sargent has scored seven goals in 23 league games for the struggling Canaries.
