Former Bundesliga striker Goncalo Paciencia returns to his Portuguese homeland to CD Santa Clara. After stints in Japan and Brazil, the 31-year-old has been without a contract since the summer of 2025. The Portuguese made a total of 86 Bundesliga appearances (17 goals) for Frankfurt, Schalke and Bochum. His greatest success was the Europa League triumph with Eintracht in 2022. With his experience, he should now help Santa Clara in the fight to stay in the Portuguese top flight.
