Series A, Friday, 10.05.2024
Milan have lost exactly two Serie A games in 2023/24 – and both against the same opponent! Now, of course, the promoted side will be hoping to benefit from a supposed loss of concentration from the already established Italian champions.
It won’t be an easy task for the “Giallazzurri”, but the relegation battle can unleash unexpected forces. With my Frosinone Inter Milan betting tip, I’m putting an interesting combination bet to the test on Friday:
Do you also occasionally feel the need to laugh out loud at some of the crazy soccer results?
That’s how I feel when I look back at Sassuolo’s 1-0 win over Inter last weekend. Want to hear some crazy facts about it? It was the first time this season that Inter failed to score in a Serie A game…
Furthermore, Sassuolo are now only one of two teams, along with Juventus, to have won both point games in the same season against the “Nerazzurri” in the last seven years. Nobody can take that away from them, not even relegation!
Meanwhile, you really have to ask yourself whether Milan are already in vacation mode mentally.
Judging by the starting line-up against Sassuolo, no one has been away, but they seem to have lost their usual tireless determination to show commitment over 90 minutes.
The upcoming opponents, on the other hand, are in no mood to celebrate. Although the promoted side have not lost a game since April, they have not been able to improve their precarious position in the Italian top flight (1 win, 5 draws).
Frosinone have still not been able to pull away from the relegation zone just before the end of the season. In fact, they are only three points away from the famous drop zone. It’s important to stay wide awake until the end here
The “Giallazzurri” may have done their homework against Salernitana (3:0), but they should definitely have done better against Empoli (0:0) the following weekend.
What is astonishing is Frosinone’s recent willingness to settle for a clean sheet. That would be the third time in the last five matchdays!
In my opinion, this is somewhat surprising, as the club from near Rome has the strongest offense of all Serie A teams with 43 goals and occupies a place in the second half of the table
Frosinone, meanwhile, will definitely take heart from Sassuolo’s performance against Milan on matchday 34 – in line with the motto: If they can do it, so can we!
The aim is to avenge the 2-0 defeat against Milan in the first half of the season and to get a Serie A point against them for the first time ever, if possible even three at once (5 games, 5 defeats).
Here too, however, the statistics seem to suggest a low-scoring game. During their last five games against Milan, Frosinone have only managed to score one goal in each of their five matches
With a look at the sports betting providers and their assessments of this match, there are one or two odds on offer, which surprises me!
The bookmakers are very much assuming that Frosinone will score and that more than 2.5 goals will be scored.
Consequently, a final result like the one from the first half of the season, which sees Milan winning business-as-usual without conceding a goal, would promise extremely high combined odds of around 3.05 (Inters win by one goal)
However, betting providers such as Sunmaker consider it unlikely that the home side will be able to score goals as well as points.
The home win odds of 5.00 represent what they see as a rather unrealistic event. But is it really?
Frosinone are the weakest away team of the season, picking up 25 of their 32 points at home. So if they can pose a threat to Inter, it will surely be at the Stadio Benito Stirpe
Personally, I’m expecting a low-scoring result in any case, but Inter don’t necessarily have to come out on top in the end.
Last weekend’s game showed that Euro 2024 is already on the minds of some players.
After all, Bastoni and Frattesi want to cut a good figure in the “Squadra Azzurra” jersey soon and thus further increase their market value.
A win for Inter on Sunday is therefore not on my list of priorities, especially not at odds of “only” 1.55.
Conclusion: This should be a tough game in which the home side won’t necessarily have to throw everything forward.
A point against Milan is absolutely enough to hopefully be able to compete in Serie A in 2024/25.
As a result, the match could be largely uneventful before Inter score a late winner or the newly promoted side actually draw 0-0 again after 90 minutes.
In any case, I would be right with my Frosinone Inter Milan betting tip
My tip: Tip 1 with HC +2 & Under 3.5 goals
