Ajax Amsterdam is only in 5th place in the Eredivisie after 26 matchdays. It was only in November that Fred Grim – actually head of training at the youth academy – took over as coach of the renormalised club. However, it was also unable to initiate the hoped-for upswing. In order to somehow save the season, the Dutch introduced the next coach on Sunday: Oscar Garcia moves up from the second team and takes over the professionals until the end of the season. Grim is going back to the club’s youth academy.
