Peer Jaekel was officially introduced as the new sporting director of 1. His clear goal is to stay in the league: “The aim is to be above the line on matchday 34,” said the 43-year-old. And with the coaching duo of Petrik Sander and Pascal Ibold, with whom the new man would like to work in the long term: “They are doing a good job,” praised Jaekel. However, if the mission to stay in the league fails, the position on the FCM bench is also likely to be subject to a new evaluation.
