In this second division season, which Hertha BSC did not crown with the hoped-for promotion to the Bundesliga, Marten Winkler is Berlin’s most dangerous professional with 13 scorer points behind Fabian Reese (24). One year before the end of his contract, the 23-year-old now wants to change, to strive for higher things. Winkler confirmed this to kicker: “You always want to develop further. I have deposited with the club that I want to take the next step and can imagine a move. Now we’ll see what the summer brings.”
