What kicker reported a few days ago is now official: Stefan Bell has extended his contract with FSV Mainz 05 once again, as the tenth-placed team in the Bundesliga announced on Thursday. The 34-year-old central defender has been under contract as a professional in Mainz since 2012 and has “shown his importance on and off the pitch every season for years,” as sporting director Niko Bungert explained.
