French Open Tips today 31.05. Schedule, Predictions & Betting

French Open today – Matches from 31.05.

It’s just unbelievable. If you tune in to the French Open today, you will notice that there is already not a single participant left in the field at the men’s tournament who has previously won a Grand Slam title.

It is now Sascha’s big chance to finally be crowned the winner in Paris! Especially since he is favored by all bookmakers. By the way, on this last day of May, I have 5 tips for tennis betting on all four men’s games as well as on a selected women’s match.

French Open today – 31.05.2026

Djokovic was already out the day before yesterday and yesterday the crowd favorite of the French masses followed: the only 17-year-old Moise Kouame!

The hot phase begins today at the French Open and my main focus is of course on the match between De Jong and Zverev. After all, many of you will probably want to see this afternoon match as well!

But I was able to find enough room for value bets in other games as well. Jodar against Carreno Busta could be a relatively one-sided affair.

Rafael Jodar is extremely ripped off on clay at the age of 19 and is also my secret favourite to win the title at Roland Garros.

French Open today broadcast: Where are the matches on 31.05.?

If you don’t want to miss a second of the French Open, you can stream the entire tournament live and in real time via the platforms Eurosport, DAZN or HBO Max.

An overview of which broadcasters have the broadcasting rights for the other highlights of the current tennis season is provided in the following overview.

French Open today 31.05.: De Jong – Zverev

Zverev goes into the match as the clear favorite and will control the match playfully. However, as the highest seeded player in the remaining field, he is under enormous pressure.

It is precisely this psychological burden that often causes him short, momentous concentration holes in early rounds.

De Jong has already fought his way through epic matches as an outsider and has absolutely nothing to lose. He has the necessary cheek to take advantage of Zverev’s hang-ups – similar to what Halys did before him!

My expert tip: Zverev with a slump

French Open today 31.05.: Ruud – Fonseca

Ruud was on the verge of elimination against Tommy Paul, had to fend off match points and spent almost five hours on the court. He is far from “completely convincing”.

Fonseca, on the other hand, has proven that he doesn’t mind marathon matches – he has now come back twice in a row from a 2-0 set deficit.

Surprisingly, the physicality speaks for the 19-year-old Brazilian, as Ruud’s footwork looks extremely error-prone at this tournament. If Fonseca whips his groundstrokes as precisely and powerfully as he did against Djokovic, he will completely break Ruud’s defensive tactics!

My expert tip: Fonseca with confident forehand balls

French Open today 31.05.: Mensik – Rublev

Mensik acts as an absolute stand-up man at this tournament. After the completely messed up 0:6 opening set against de Minaur, he fought back impressively and proved that he can keep up with the established players in terms of play.

This is exactly where Rublev’s volatility comes into play. The Russian may have fought his way through Borges in three tight tiebreak sets, but is extremely mentally vulnerable at Grand Slam level in the round of 16 – he has lost his last four round of 16 at majors.

My expert tip: No one wins 3-0 here

French Open today 31.05.: Jodar – Carreno Busta

Jodar is the man of the hour on clay (18 wins from 21 matches on red ash this season). In this tournament, the 19-year-old has shown impressive consistency in service (over 70% points won after the 1st serve).

Although the five-set drama against Alex Michelsen, which lasted more than four hours, cost an enormous amount of energy in the preliminary round, this Spaniard is so strong on clay that he is not called “Rafael” by his first name for nothing.

My expert tip: Jodar with only slight uncertainties

French Open today 31.05.: Svitolina – Bencic

Svitolina leads 4-2 in a direct comparison and has won the last three duels in a row against Bencic (including a smooth 6-1, 6-2 in the last meeting on clay).

The Ukrainian is in absolute top form in the current clay court season and recently scored a strong victory over world number two Iga Swiatek. On red ashes, her flawless defensive work is the perfect antidote to Bencic’s power game.

My expert tip: The Ukrainian is comfortable with this surface
