The future of Marc-André ter Stegen is currently still uncertain, but it seems clear: It does not lie with FC Girona, where the German keeper has been playing on loan since January, but which has been relegated to the 2nd division. And not at FC Barcelona, where ter Stegen is still under contract until 2028, but does not play a role in head coach Hansi Flick’s plans. Instead, a door could open for the 34-year-old at Ajax Amsterdam. According to “Mundo Deportivo” and “Sport”, ter Stegen is said to be at the top of the wish list of the Dutch record champions. Also because Girona’s previous coach Michel has now signed on with Ajax. He would therefore like to take ter Stegen with him to Amsterdam.
