Rot-Weiss Essen and Klaus Gjasula are parting ways earlier than initially agreed: On Wednesday afternoon, the third-division club announced the early termination of the contract with the 36-year-old, which will be carried out at the player’s request. “When the player approached us with the desire to terminate his contract due to family matters, we had the opportunity to give him something back,” said RWE director of football Marcus Steegmann. “So there was no question for us that we would come to an amicable solution here and comply with this wish.”
