After six years, Fabio Baldé is leaving Hamburger SV and moving to French first division club Racing Strasbourg. A transfer fee for the 21-year-old defender has not been communicated, with up to seven million euros in the room, as Baldé’s contract with HSV still ran until June 2029. Born in Hamburg, he joined HSV’s youth academy in 2020 as a 14-year-old, and in 2024 he made his professional debut in the 2nd division. Baldé played for various DFB youth teams up to the U20s, but has been playing for Portugal since the U21s.
