SV Wehen Wiesbaden has reacted to the sporting downturn at the beginning of the season – only two points from five games – and released coach Daniel Scherning and his assistant coach Andreas Zimmermann. The 42-year-old Scherning took over the Wiesbaden team last November and led them out of the bottom of the table, into which they have now slipped again in the new season. The previous assistant coaches Frank Steinmetz and Giuliano Modica will take over the team on an interim basis.
