When will the Laver Cup 2026 take place?
The Laver Cup 2026 will take place from September 25 to 27. This time, the venue is London. The game will be played in the O2 Arena.
It is now the ninth edition of this team competition. This continental competition took place for the first time in 2017.
Last year, the tennis duel between Europe and the rest of the world was held in San Francisco, USA.

The Laver Cup 2026 Schedule: Dates & Time
The Laver Cup schedule starts on Friday, September 25, 2026, with the first two singles matches in the afternoon session from 14:00 German time. In the evening session starting at 20:00 CEST, the third singles and the first doubles will follow.
On Saturday (26.9.) it continues with identically scheduled Laver Cup matches in the O2 Arena: Two singles from 14:00 and one singles and one doubles from 20:00 our time.
Sunday (27.9.) is then the final day. This is where the four remaining games will be played without splitting them into several sessions.
First, the last doubles will take place from 13:00 CEST, before Sunday ends with the remaining three singles matches, which follow directly after the doubles.
The Mode
The Laver Cup mode is as follows: A total of 12 matches will be played, nine in singles and three in doubles. There are three singles and one doubles every day on three match days.
Each player plays one or two singles, and at least four of the six players compete in doubles – although each pairing may only take place once.
Each match will be played in a best-of-3 format. If the first two sets are even, there will be a match tie-break (up to 10).
The points are awarded as follows: On each day, one more point is awarded for a victory. This means that victories on day 1 (Friday) bring one point. The victories on Day 2 (Saturday) bring two points and each victory on the third day (Sunday) is worth three points.
If the score is 12:12 after all games, two doubles pairs will play a match tie-break for the overall victory.
Where will the Laver Cup 2026 be broadcast?
The Laver Cup 2026 broadcast in the Tennis live program will be broadcast in Germany by two providers.
Who will show the Laver Cup 2026 live on TV and stream?
The Laver Cup live is available on Eurosport and thus on free TV. The sports broadcaster has secured the rights package for this team competition until 2030 and will broadcast all games live on all three days.
However, the two early sessions on Friday (25/9) and Saturday (26/9) will be broadcast on Eurosport 2 and therefore not on free-to-air television. There is no such restriction for the three remaining sessions – they run on Eurosport 1.
In addition, the Laver Cup 2026 will also be broadcast live on DAZN.

The teams consist of six players each and a predetermined team captain. Three players from each team qualify through their ATP Singles ranking. The other three players are selected by the captain.

Team Europe is led by world number two Alexander Zverev. The German is a two-time Grand Slam winner in 2026 and recently also led the national team to the final round of the Davis Cup.
Also represented on the Laver Cup 2026 participant list is Carlos Alcaraz, the number 3 in the world. The Spaniard has had his problems recently, for example at the US Open, but now wants to enter his name in the list of winners in London.
Flavio Cobolli, last year’s shooting star in the Laver Cup, has now climbed to 7th place in the ATP world rankings. In the absence of stars like Jannik Sinner, the Italian is expected to make the difference together with Zverev and Alcaraz.
Team Europe is completed by the Spaniard Rafael Jodar (14th), the Czech Jakub Mensik (15th) and Casper Ruud (18th).
With Alex de Minaur (9th) and Taylor Fritz (10th), “Team World” has only two players in the line-up who just make it into the top 10 of the world rankings.
The 20-year-old and enormously talented American Learner Tien also appears on the list of Laver Cup 2026 participants. In 2025, he won the Next Generation ATP Finals and climbed to 13th place in the world on the tour.
Also in action for captain Andre Agassi are Tien’s compatriot Brandon Nakashima (16th), Kazakh Alexander Bublik (19th) and Argentine Francisco Cerundolo (23rd), who was already allowed to play Laver Cup in 2025.
As always, which players will compete in singles and doubles will be decided shortly before the start of the game. The nominations will be determined by both team captains at short notice.
Team World or Team Europe: Who is the favorite?
Given the world rankings in singles, Team Europe is clearly the favorite in the Laver Cup 2026 prediction before the first serve. This is also confirmed by the forecast of the sports betting providers.
Alexander Zverev, who recently won the US Open, not only leads the Europe selection, he is also number 2 in the world rankings. With Alcaraz as the world number three, Europe also has the second-best player in the ATP ranking on the Laver Cup participant list 2026.

By the way: Five of the previous eight editions in the history of the Laver Cup since 2017 have gone to Europe. Last year, however, the team failed with practically identical conditions against Team World.
The problem at the time was a catastrophic Saturday on which all points were lost, while on the less valuable Friday there was still a 3-1 win on the European side.
