Boxing calendar 2024: Next fight at the end of October

Boxing fans will be treated to the next big fight at the end of October!

Jack Catterall vs Regis Prograis is the super lightweight clash, which will take place on October 26 in Manchester (England).

Catterall (29-1-0, 13 KOs), from Chorley, which is only around half an hour from Manchester, recorded the biggest win of his professional career on 25 May with his victory over Josh Taylor.

Prograis (29-2-0, 24 KOs) lost on points to the same Josh Taylor in a 2019 title unification fight in London. This also marked the end of Prograis’ WBA title reign.

In 2022, the US American won the vacant WBC title by knocking out Jose Zepeda in the 11th round and successfully defended it once before meeting Haney in December. He was outclassed by Haney and the now 35-year-old has not been back on the ropes since.

This is another reason why the betting odds for the next boxing match in 2024 look pretty clear. Catterall is seen as the clear favorite, and not just because of the home advantage…

When is the next Jake Paul boxing match?

The next boxing match in 2024 will take place in autumn 2024 – and what a fight it will be!

On November 15, Jake Paul’s boxing thriller against Mike Tyson will take place. The venue is the AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas (USA).

Jake Paul vs. Mike Tyson is set to be a boxing match of superlatives – a generational duel the likes of which has probably never been seen before.

In one corner the 27-year-old internet joker who has been trying his hand at professional boxing for four years and in the other corner one of the greatest boxers of all time – a multiple heavyweight world champion who, at almost 58 years of age, still wants to show what he can do.

The broadcast is live and exclusive to Netflix!

The question of who is the favorite for the next Jake Paul boxing match in 2024 should be easy to answer.

Even if the social media hero is a boxing novice who has so far mainly held his own against discarded MMA fighters, he has developed enormously in a very short space of time, allowing him to take on seasoned boxers – as his last two victories against Andre August and Ryan Bourland have shown.

What’s more, Mike Tyson – despite being one of the best boxers of all time – is over 30 years older than “The Problem Child” and the last time “Iron Mike” stood on the ropes in a semi-professional manner was in 2020 for an exhibition against Roy Jones junior.

The predictions for Jake Paul vs. Mike Tyson are therefore likely to be fairly one-sided.

It’s hard to imagine that the youngster, who has set his sights on the world title, will be defeated or even knocked out by an almost 60-year-old boxing pensioner.

When is the next boxing match in 2024?

The next boxing match in 2024 for a world title will take place in mid-November.

On November 16, Gilberto “Zurdo” Ramirez, WBA cruiserweight champion, and WBO titleholder Chris Billam-Smith will meet to unify their titles. The venue is Riyadh (Saudi Arabia).

The world championship fight will be the main attraction of the “Latino Night” event, for which several other attractive boxing duels have also been scheduled. For example, the clash between William Zepeda and Tevin Farmer, Oscar Duarte vs. Kenneth Sims Jr. and Jose Carlos Ramirez vs. Arnold Barboza Jr.

Gilberto Ramirez, 33-year-old Mexican, has won 46 of his 47 professional fights. His last victory came in March of this year against Arsen Goulamirian, winning the WBA belt in the process. He is now making his first title defense. A win against Billiam-Smith would also make him WBO champion.

Chris Billam-Smith is one year younger and comes from England and has 20 victories from 21 professional fights, winning all of his last 11 (!) fights.

During this period, “The Gentleman” won the WBA title from Lawrence Okolie in May 2023. Billiam-Smith last won against Richard Riakporhe in June of this year. That was his second title defense.

Boxing calendar 2024: The next title fight in December

The next boxing match in 2024 for a world title will take place in Houston (USA) in mid-December.

Gervonta Davis, reigning WBA lightweight champion since 2019, will face challenger Lamont Roach on December 14

Davis last celebrated a spectacular eight-round knockout against Frank Martin in June. That was also his sixth title defense.

Of course, “The Tank” wants to keep his place on the throne and, according to the boxing odds, he will do so. Davis is considered the clear favorite against (25-1-1, 10 knockouts), who is new to the lightweight division.

Next boxing match 2024 – Usyk vs. Fury 2 in December

With Oleksandr Usyk’s rematch against Tyson Fury, boxing fans will get a Christmas present in advance!

Usyk vs. Fury 2 will take place on December 21 in Riyadh (Saudi Arabia).

Three world championship crowns are at stake in this rematch: Usyk currently holds the WBA, WBO and WBC titles, which he took from Fury in the first fight.

If the boxing betting odds of the bookmakers in Germany are anything to go by, the Ukrainian will retain the three titles. Usyk is seen as the clear favorite.

The Cat” clearly dominated the first duel in May of this year. With his excellent footwork and high ring IQ, he had the “Gypsy King” under control at all times and almost defeated him early. However, Fury was ultimately able to avoid a knockout.

Fury’s desire for revenge and his height speak in his favor. He is clearly superior to his opponent in terms of reach. If he can exploit this advantage in the rematch, the three world championship belts could go to the “Gypsy King”…

Next boxing match for Agit Kabayel

The next boxing match for Germany’s heavyweight star Agit Kabayel will take place next year. Only when and where is still open. But there is already an opponent.

The IBF has scheduled a “Final Eliminator” fight to decide who will be the mandatory challenger to the current title holder Daniel Dubois. Agit Kabayel (25-0, 17 KOs) from Bochum is to meet Martin Bakole (21-1(1), 16 KOs) from Congo.

Bakole, currently ranked 6 by BoxRec, only lost prematurely to Michael Hunter in 2018. Since then, he has celebrated big wins, including against Tony Yoka, Carlos Takam and most recently Jared Anderson, who was considered an up-and-coming US heavyweight.

Kabayel recently won twice with great confidence. After stopping the previously unbeaten Russian Arslanbek Makhmudov early at the end of 2023, he also recently defeated the Cuban upstart Frank Sanchez.
