Chicago Fire are currently bottom of the Eastern Conference in the MLS. The regular season ends on October 20, after which Gregg Berhalter will take over as head coach at Bastian Schweinsteiger’s former club. The former US national team coach will succeed Frank Klopas, who will manage the team for their final game of the season against Nashville and then take on the role of vice president. Berhalter will also become sporting director at Chicago.
