SpVgg Unterhaching is reportedly close to signing Johannes Geis (31). The Schweinfurt native, who has Bundesliga experience (121 games, eight goals for Schalke, Mainz and Fürth), is expected to strengthen the Haching defense, which has been far too vulnerable of late (17 goals conceded in nine games). The veteran most recently played for 1. FC Nürnberg in the second division and made twelve appearances last season, three of them in the starting lineup.
